What has happened yesterday? Nifty Index, opened on a positive note at 25142, on the opening move, it made a low 25054.90 further it moved up, made a high 25153.65 and closed on a positive note at 25083.75 with an intra gain 28.20 points, i.e., 0.11%.
What will happen today?
Nifty Index: Today, we expect the Nifty may open a flat to negative note near 25090-25060-25040 levels; if open, trade and sustain above 25090 then, the index may re-test 25125-25160-25200-25240-25280 levels. On the other hand, the immediate support lies at 25015-24980-24945 if, the Index moves below 24945 then, it may try to re-visit 24930-24915-24880-24840-24825-24795-24745 levels.
Special Mention: Yesterday, Nifty Index opened on a positive note, took support near 25030, further it moved up till our threshold resistance levels i.e., 25160, made a high 25153.65 and closed near 25090. Today, the Nifty index must trade, sustain and closes above 25100-25160; it may continue the pull back rally to re-test 25250-25280-25385-25490 levels in the near term. On the other hand, the immediate support seen at 24945-24880, further weakness below 24880 then, the Index may try to re-visit 24745-24650-24530 levels in the near term. Nifty Bank Index: Yesterday, Nifty Bank Index opened on a positive note at 55972.05 on the opening move, it made a high 55993.65 thereafter it moved up, made a low 55711.55 and closed on a positive note at 55755.45 with an intra gain 56.95 points, i.e., 0.10%, today Nifty Bank Index must move and sustain above 55790-55850 levels; if to do so, then it may try to test 55910-55995-56070-56155-56235-56320-56405 levels. On the other hand, any weakness near55790-55850 further, it moves below 55710-55630 then, the Index may re-visit 55530-55455-55385-55290-55200-55055-54905 levels.
Sensex Index: Yesterday, Sensex opened on a positive note at 82220.46 on the opening move, it made a day low 81921.22 thereafter, it moved up, made a high 82231.17 and closed on a positive note at 82000.71 with an intra gain 142.87 points, i.e., 0.17%, today Sensex must move and sustain above 82075-82140 levels; if to do so, then it may try to re-test 82230-82315-82390-82445-82640 levels. On the other hand, any weakness near 82075-82140 further, it moves below 81925-81820 then, the Index may re-visit 81755-81685-81590-81500-81385-81315-81295-81200 levels.
PUT/CALL Ratio: Over all Nifty Index Put and Call ratio for 21st Aug'25 stands at 1.07 with PUT open interest of 4153431 and CALL open interest of 3878463, when compared with previous day level of 1.28, normally the reading below 1 denotes weakness/bearish, above 1 denotes strength/bullish on the index.
FIIs/FPIs & DIIs Funds Flow on NSE, BSE and MSEI : Yesterday, FIIs/FPIs, turned as a net buyer, they bought on the net basis to the tune of Rs.1246.51 Cr. On the other hand, DIIs continued as a net buyer they bought on the net basis to the tune of Rs.2546.27 Cr.
For the month of Aug'25, month to date FIIs/FPIs continued as a net seller, they sold Rs.24128.50 Cr., on the net basis and DIIs continued as a net buyer they bought on the net basis to the tune of Rs.66212.76 Cr.
INDIA's Macro Data:-
On 01st Aug'25-Friday, the HSBC Manufacturing PMI data released for the month of Jul'25, it moved up to 59.10 from 58.40 i.e., Jun'25. Likewise, the HSBC Services PMI data for the month of July'25 released on 05th Aug'25-Tuesday, it moved up to 60.50 from 60.40 i.e., Jun'25.
The RBI MPC meet held on 06th Aug'25-Wednesday, the MPC has maintained the Repo rate as 5.50% from the existing rate of 5.50%, also it has maintained the CRR-Cash Reserve Ratio as 3%.
GDP data for the Q4 ending Mar'25 released on 30th May'25-Friday, the GDP has moved up to 7.40% Vs.6.40% (Q3-Dec'24).
IIP data for Jun'25 released on 28th Jul'25-Monday, the Industrial production has come down to 1.50%; when compared to the May'25 level, i.e., 1.90%.
Annual Inflation data for Jul'25 released on 12th Aug'25-Tuesday, the inflation has come down to 1.55% from Jun'25 level i.e., 2.10%.
WPI Inflation data for the month of Jul'25 released on 14th Aug'25-Thursday, it has come down further to the negative side i.e., -0.58% as against the Jun'25 level i.e.,-0.13%.
